Beijing vegetable prices rose by 8.41% last week

Last week (September 2 to September 8), the weighted average price of vegetables in Beijing was 2.32 yuan per kilogram, a 8.41% increase on a week-to-week basis. Affected by the rainy weather in the vegetable growing areas and the transport of food from the north to the south, vegetable prices in Beijing have again increased significantly.

The information of new agricultural products wholesale market shows that the weighted average price of vegetables in the city at the end of last week was 2.32 yuan per kilogram, which was 8.41% higher than the previous wholesale price of 2.14 yuan per kilogram. This was a notable increase. The prices of most vegetables in the market have been stable, but some vegetable prices have also risen. As the price of this part of vegetables has increased significantly, the overall price of vegetables has been boosted.

The increase in the price of vegetables was mainly due to the influence of the northern food and southern transport. The merchants from the production areas gathered and the purchase price rose. At the same time, due to the impact of heavy rainfall during the growth process, some plots of vegetables were submerged and reduced production, which also led to price increases.
