Corrosion will increase the acidity of the fish's blood and reduce the oxygen-consuming capacity. Despite the high oxygen content in the water, the fish will float, causing anoxia, and the fish will not love activities. The metabolism will slow down sharply and food intake will decrease. Poor digestion is not conducive to fish growth and development. At the same time, acidic water can cause fish diseases, resulting in a large number of fish diseases caused by protozoa, such as flagellate disease, root worm disease, sporangiasis, ciliate disease, and piperculosis. If the pH is too low, between 5 and 6.5, it will easily lead to a large number of dinoflagellates, and the damage to fish is also greater. The pH also has an effect on fish reproduction. The pH is not suitable, and the gonads are poorly developed and hinder embryonic development. If the pH is below 6.4 or above 9.4, fry cannot be hatched. If the pH is too low, the egg membrane of the fish can be softened, the ovoid ball can collapse, lose its elasticity, and it is very easy to break the membrane in advance when hatching. If the pH value is between 5 and 6.5, and the appropriate temperature conditions (22°C to 32°C) are encountered, the reared fingerlings are also susceptible to "dusting disease." Since the pH value of the pool water is closely related to the growth, development and reproduction of the fish, the pH value of the pool water should be checked frequently, and the necessary corresponding measures should be taken according to the detection results to ensure that the pH value of the pool water is normal.
