The filter, also known as the decontamination device and the filter valve, is an indispensable device for the piping system for conveying medium. It is usually installed at the inlet end of a pressure reducing valve, a pressure relief valve, a fixed water level valve or other equipment, and its function is a filter medium. The mechanical impurities in the sewage can filter the rust, sand, and a small amount of solid particles in the liquid to protect the fittings on the equipment pipeline from wear and blockage to protect the normal use of the valve and equipment. After the filter cartridge of a certain size filter, the impurities are blocked, and the cleaned filtrate is discharged from the filter outlet. When cleaning is required, the removable filter cartridge can be taken out, washed and reloaded. Therefore, use Maintenance is extremely convenient.
  The above should be a mesh filter. In fact, there are many kinds of filters, such as laminated filters, sand filters, carbon filters, etc. The main principle is to use the pore size of the filter medium to intercept substances smaller than the medium pore size. Of course, some filter media also have special effects such as adsorption. Most of the filter backwashing is not so troublesome, as long as the water is introduced into the reverse backwashing filter from the end of the filtered water to achieve a good backwashing effect.
  General principles for filter selection:
　　 1. Import and export diameter: In principle, the inlet and outlet diameter of the filter should not be less than the inlet diameter of the matched pump, which is generally consistent with the inlet pipe diameter.
　　 2. Nominal pressure: Determine the pressure level of the filter according to the high pressure of the zui that may appear in the filter line.
　　 3 , the choice of the number of holes: mainly consider the particle size of the impurities to be intercepted, according to the process requirements of the media process. The size of the screen that can be intercepted by various specifications of the screen can be found in the table below.
　　 4 , filter material: the material of the filter is generally the same as the material of the connected process pipe, for different service conditions, consider the choice of cast iron, carbon steel, alloy steel or stainless steel filter.
　　 5 , filter resistance loss calculation : water filter, under the general calculation of the rated flow rate, the pressure loss is 0.52 ~ 1.2kpa
