Introduction of Centrifuge Tubes, Centrifuge Bottles and Control Systems for Centrifuges

  • The centrifuge tube is mainly made of glass, plastic and stainless steel. The commonly used materials for the plastic centrifuge tube are polyethylene (PE), polycarbonate (PC), polypropylene (PP), etc., wherein the PP tube has good performance. Plastic centrifuge tubes have the advantage of being transparent (or translucent) with low hardness and can be removed by puncture. The disadvantage is that it is easy to deform, has poor corrosion resistance to organic solvents, and has a short service life.

The stainless steel tube has high strength, no deformation, heat resistance, frost resistance and chemical resistance. However, it should also avoid contact with highly corrosive chemicals such as strong acids and alkalis. The plastic centrifuge tube has a tube cover, and the tube cover must be tightly closed before being centrifuged, and the liquid is inverted without leakage.

    The cap has three functions:

1 Prevent sample leakage. This is especially important when used with radioactive or highly corrosive samples.

2 Prevent the sample from volatilizing.

3 Support the centrifuge tube to prevent deformation of the centrifuge tube.

When using glass tube, the centrifugal force should not be too large. It is necessary to pad the rubber pad to prevent the tube from breaking. High-speed centrifuge generally does not use glass tube.

The material, physical properties and chemical stability of the centrifuge tube (bottle) are as follows:

    Centrifuge tube
    Centrifuge tube material
PP (Polypropylene): Translucent, good chemical and temperature stability, but will become brittle at low temperatures, so do not be below 4 °C during centrifugation.
PC (Polycarbonate Polycarbonate): good transparency, high hardness, high temperature sterilization, but not strong acid and alkali, and some organic solvents such as alcohol. It is mainly used for ultra-high speed centrifugation of more than 50,000 rpm.
PE (Polyethylene): opaque. It does not react with acetone, acetic acid, hydrochloric acid, etc., and is relatively stable, and tends to become soft at high temperatures.
PA (polyamide Polyallomer): This material is a polymer of PP and PE. It is translucent and chemically stable, but not resistant to high temperatures.
PS (polystyrene): transparent, hard, stable to most aqueous solutions, but it is corroded by a variety of organic substances, mostly used for low-speed centrifugation, and is generally used once.
PF (polyfluorinated): Translucent, can be used at low temperatures. If it is an experimental environment at -100 ° C to -140 ° C, a centrifuge tube of this material can be used.
CAB (Cellulose acetate): transparent, can be used for the determination of the dilute acid, alkali, salt, and alcohol, sucrose gradient.

Second, the centrifuge control system centrifuges all use a microcomputer control system, these control systems can not only ensure the safe operation of the centrifuge but also automatically complete the task. Now many centrifuges have a better humanized control system. For example: rotor recognition function, safety lock function, fault prompt function, acceleration and deceleration curves, etc.
In addition to the above points, pay attention to some details and necessary accessories. The main component of the centrifuge is the motor. The motor is divided into a carbon brush motor and a carbonless brush motor. The former has been eliminated. The current centrifuges are brushless motors, and some motors also have brake functions. Refrigerated centrifuges also differ in refrigeration, and now environmentally friendly technologies are of course fluorine-free refrigeration. In addition to this, consider the noise problem and try to choose a quieter centrifuge to maintain a comfortable experimental environment. Care should be taken in the accessories. Some experiments use special centrifuges, which have a rated temperature range. The heat generated by the centrifuge at high speed is balanced with the refrigeration system of the centrifuge at a certain temperature (the sample for general freeze centrifugation needs to be kept at 3 ° C to 8 ° C), and the specific amount can be related to the rotor. Consult the product sales staff and the relevant technical personnel of the production plant.

Automatic Massage Foot Bath Machine

The automatic massage foot bath machine is a device that uses water and massage rollers to provide a relaxing foot massage. It usually has a basin filled with water and has built-in massage rollers that move and massage the feet. The machine may also have other functions, such as heat therapy, air bubbles, and vibration. Users place their feet in the basin and the machine provides a soothing massage that helps relieve tension and improve foot circulation. Some automatic foot massage machines also come with removable attachments for additional massage options.
