Dogsee Chews Vows to Get 1000 Stray Dogs Adopted This Year, Make India Stray Dogs Free by 2025

In the recent years, more than ever, the Indian pet industry has seen a serious boost in terms of new pet products, pet ownership numbers and heightened product awareness. And while most groups are happy - delighted pet parents with the numerous available products, flourishing businesses with improved economy and employment rates, veterinary industry with loyal relationships - one group has been steadily missing out on any of this generosity: stray dogs, mostly the Indian mutt.

Dogsee Chew, India's leader in healthy and all natural dog treat industry, has pledged towards getting 1000 stray dogs adopted in the country in this fiscal year.

The company has partnered with renowned names in the pet adoption world, Bengaluru Opts To Adopt (BOTA) and Voice Of Stray Dogs (VOSD), to spread awareness and build mechanism for people to adopt stray and abandoned shelter dogs instead of buying them.

Dogsee Chew's CEO Bhupendra Khanal says, "We want to reduce reckless breeding and provide more stray dogs with a loving home and family to call their own. We vow to make India stray dogs free by 2025."

He adds, "We are not only promising but have already spent INR 6 Lacs this year for this drive. The budget is likely to grow as the company grows."

BOTA is India's first comprehensive adoption drive for rescued canines and felines. Till date, it has organised numerous drives around Bengaluru with its partners, and it has successfully got 142 dogs adopted in last 12 months.

Ritika Goel, Founder of BOTA, says, "Dogsee Chew has partnered with BOTA for the last 7 editions. It is overwhelming to see such a big company supporting adoptions of our great Indian breed. All our adopters have been showered with Dogsee Chew goodies and they all munch away happily asking for more. They say a brand is a reflection of its team and this dynamic creative team led by Bhupendra is so humble, grounded and very supportive. This team is definitely compassionate in serving the best healthy treats for your pooches. We are very happy to have Dogsee Chew as our partners."

The VOSD sanctuary was founded by Rakesh Shukla in 2011, a personal initiative that rescues and treats sick, injured and old stray dogs. Through multiple incidents of legal issues, online and offline harassment and some premeditated attacks on his rescue staff, the techie has managed to keep VOSD afloat and created a safe base for the 780 dogs they house at the moment.
