Infant milk powder sampling pass rate of nearly 97%

The State Food and Drug Administration announced on the 5th the supervision and sampling of infant formula milk powder in 2014. According to the notification, 48 batches of unqualified samples were detected in 1565 lot sampling samples, and the pass rate was 96.9%.

The sampling inspection covered all 100 domestic manufacturers' products and some imported products. Unqualified samples involved 23 domestic manufacturers and 4 import distributors.

There were 44 batches of unqualified samples from domestic companies, among which there were 11 batches with higher food safety risks: 3 batches of samples from Shanxi Gucheng Dairy Group Co., Ltd. were found to exceed the standard for aflatoxin M1, Shanxi Gucheng Dairy Group Co., Ltd. Four batches of samples from five companies, including Dengying Child Nutrition Co., Ltd., Heilongjiang Huadan Dairy Co., Ltd., Heilongjiang Nongken Multivariate Dairy Co., Ltd., and Baicheng Longdan Dairy Technology Co., Ltd., detected the Enterobacter sakazakii strain, Yangling Shengji Dairy Co., Ltd. The total number of colonies detected by the company's two batches of samples exceeded the standard, and one batch of samples from Shaanxi Jinniu Dairy Co., Ltd. detected excessive nitrate.

In addition, there are 12 batches of vitamin C, linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid ratio, chlorine, manganese, selenium, iron, calcium, and other nutrient indicators that do not meet the general risk of food safety and other general risks, which are not consistent with the packaging label's stated value. There are 21 batches without food safety risks.

200 batches of imported samples were sampled, and 4 batches of unqualified samples were detected. There were 2 batches of general risks. They were the Spanish brand Baolufen brand milk powder distributed by Fuzhou Dirui Trading Co., Ltd., and Wuhan Maistone. Industry and Trade Development Co., Ltd. distributes the Austrian brand Holle milk powder. Two batches that do not match the express values ​​of the packaging label, but do not have food safety risks. They are the native Mami brand milk powder distributed in the Netherlands by Shen Wei Jianyi Trading Co., Ltd., and the raw materials distributed by Beijing Baihui Zhiye Technology Co., Ltd. Tanilac brand milk powder from Switzerland.

For production companies and import distributors that have detected unqualified samples, the State Food and Drug Administration has notified the Food and Drug Administration of the relevant province to order the company to stop production and sales, recall substandard products, thoroughly investigate the cause of the problem, and conduct comprehensive rectification. Penalties were imposed on related companies; the production license for infant formula milk powder of Shanxi Gucheng Dairy Group Co., Ltd. was revoked; and the infant formula milk powder production license of Hunan Changsha Yahua Dairy Co., Ltd. was cancelled.
